We’re Todd and Mairin, an American couple who has lived abroad for ten years. We write about slow travel, food and culture, housesitting, and gentle adventure for readers in the second half of life.

Our audience is midlife travelers who plan carefully, read to the end, and trust a real recommendation over a flashy ad. They value depth, good food, and travel that respects the places they visit. We share what we actually use and love, which is exactly why people listen.

We only share things we have used and would recommend to a friend. If we would not pay for it ourselves, we will not put our name on it.

Slow and intentional

The work has to fit how we travel: unhurried, curious, and respectful of the people and places on the other end of the trip.

Anything sponsored gets labeled clearly, and the opinions stay ours. That trust is the whole reason this works, and we guard it.
